"It's an auspicious month in early spring"

with gracious atmosphere after calmed wind that the blossom of plum trees

brings about somewhat like a flavor of make-up powder before the mirror.

This is a sentence of "Manyoushu ( the japanese anthology edited around 8th century )"

which became well known as the origin of the Japanese Imperial era name of "Reiwa".

The plum blossom sketched here by oil painting is the last one in Heisei Imperial era

blossomed in Musashi-Kyuryou National Government Park, Hiki District, Saitama Pref.,
