【Oak Wood in Kamigou, Ageo City】
 April 2000 Oil Painting F15 53.0×65.2cm Lakhan
There is a beautiful wood in Kamigou preserved by Ageo City and I often go to the Okegawa Station passing through this wood to see the vegetation situation of the wood like as budding, leaf coloring, shedding which provide me with information on the timing that I go for painting the wood of Musashino.
In the year of 2000, there was big snow fall around Japanese sea side area of Japan and it had been so cold until the end of March that the cherry blossoms were delayed about 10days compared with normal years and I had to wait until April to go outside for painting.
That year, I started painting by this wood on April 8 and completed this picture on second time painting on April 29.
